Thirty persons were evacuated from an apartment building as a result of a fire that happened on Wednesday morning on Maria Drăgan St in Chisinau, IPN reports.

The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations said that three fire and rescue teams were on the scene immediately. The fire broke out on the first flow of a five-story building. Thirty persons were evacuated from the upper floors of the block so as to prevent their poisoning by fumes.

No one was hurt in the fire that destroyed goods inside a room that was 16 square meters in area. The circumstances and cause of fire are yet to be found out.
