A number of 30 kiosks situated in Chisinau’s Ciocana district have been removed. A part of them were located in front of a market, while others at a distance of less than 100 meters from the market, IPN reports.
In the May 20 meeting of Chisinau City Hall officials, the district’s head Galina Bostan said the kiosks had to be taken away as a company intends to restore the passage in the area and to set up a parking lot in front of the market.
Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca asked that all the district heads by June 1 present by a report with the addresses where kiosks were removed so as to carry out a general assessment.
Earlier, Dorin Chirtoaca instructed taking away by 50 kiosks a month, by 10 in every district of the city. He also said that the working kiosks should be relocated from the periphery of markets inside them.
