The Buiucani Court on June 29 ruled that the deputy head of the Rascani Police Inspectorate and the chief of the Rascani Criminal Police will be held on remand for 30 more days, IPN reports.

According to the National Anticorruption Center, the two were arrested three days ago in a criminal case started by the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office. These are suspected of lack of prompt action in investigating a double murder.

If they are found guilty, the two chiefs will be fined 20,000 to 40,000 lei or will serve two to six years in jail.
