The judges of the Ciocana Court issued a warrant for the arrest of the former leader of the Democratic Party Vlad Plahotniuc in Metalferos case for a period of 30 days.

Contacted by IPN for details, spokeswoman for the Prosecutor General’s Office Mariana Cherpec said that if the person is not in the country, the ordinary procedure is to put this on the international ‘wanted’ list. Earlier, Vlad Plahotniuc was listed ‘wanted’ in other cases.

Vlad Plahotniuc had been charged with the creation and management of a criminal organization, swindle and money laundering committed by a criminal organization, abuse of office and falsification of public documents.
