Thirty children with disabilities from socially deprived families of the municipality of Chisinau received tablet computers and other educational materials from the U.S. Embassy, IPN reports.
Deputy Chief of Mission Martin McDowell presented the 30 tablet computers and other educational materials to Chisinau’s Municipal Department for the Protection of Children's Rights.
These donations by the U.S. Embassy will allow children with physical disabilities to maintain communication with their therapists from home during the pandemic. This is just the latest demonstration of the United States’ commitment to Moldova.
The project “Devices that Will Connect Families Beyond Hospitals” was implemented in partnership with YTILI alumna Victoria Novac. A telecoms carrier accepted to connect the tablet computers to the Internet.
