The laboratory tests confirmed 30 cases of flu in the municipality of Chisinau. According to the Health Division, 813 cases of acute respiratory infection were recorded in the capital city last week. The Division’s head Luminita Suveica said those were cases of seasonal flu type A and B, Info-Prim Neo reports. Luminita Suveica said the number of acute respiratory infections and pneumonias increased during the last month, but is lower compared with the same period last year. The infections are not as serious as last season. The Chisinau administration assures that the public medical-sanitary institutions have been supplied with anti-flu medications and are ready to cope with the situation. Under the decisions of the Municipal Antiepidemic Commission, the toilets of the institutions and companies must be outfitted with hand dryers and soap dispensers, while the public units of transport must be disinfected by the drivers daily. The market administrations are to make sure that the garbage is collected in special containers and are to take the necessary precautionary measures. The people are recommended to avoid the crowded places and the contact with infected persons.
