The 30 apartment blocks located in Botanica district of Chisinau that remained without heat and hot water in the afternoon of January 9 were reconnected in the morning of January 10, at about 4am. SA “Termoelectrica” said the operation lasted long because the accident occurred in an area full of high-voltage cables. Also, there was a pluvial drainage channel and a sewerage system nearby, IPN reports.

The company’s specialists worked round-the-clock for over ten hours and repaired the damaged pipe with the diameter of 273 mm situated on Dacia Blvd. The employees had to perform works manually during four hours. Over 8.3 meters of pipe were replaced.

The supplier regrets the caused inconvenience and assures that all the emergency intervention measures were taken to shorten the remediation operation.
