A 3-year-old child, left without supervision, escaped death after he was hit at night by a car circulating according to the traffic regulations on Alba-Iulia Street. According Chisinau Road Safety Inspector Ion Roscovanu, the accident occurred at 22.00, on Alba-Iulia 75/6 Street. A 27-year-old driving a VAZ 2107 car was involved in the accident. As a result of the accident, the child suffered frontal soft tissue injuries. In connection to this case, the Road Police warn the parents not to leave their children without supervision, and the drivers to be cautious, to avoid speeding and drunk-driving, and refrain from using the cell phone while driving. On weekend, on Chisinau roads there were recorded 5 traffic accidents that injured 7 persons. Road inspectors fined 42 drivers for drunk-driving, 154 for speeding, 67 for ignoring the stop lights, 164 for wrong manoeuvring, and 27 pedestrians for jaywalking.
