An elderly women from Chisinau has tried to kill herself by swallowing medicines against high blood pressure. The coordinating doctor of the Ambulance Service, Evelina Rusu, has told Info-Prim Neo that the 91-year-old woman took the pills on Sunday. She got severely intoxicated and was admitted for detox. Another woman, aged 40, also tried to kill herself with pills, but was hospitalized. A 24-year-old man was released from the loop as he tried to hang himself in a severe state inebriation, in his Chisinau apartment on Aldea-Teodorovici street. At about 23.00, drunkenly speeding a Toyota Aventis, a 27-year-old man jumped off the road and reached a lawn of roses in Vatra town of Chisinau municipality. Unfortunately the car hit some containers and the driver was hospitalized with multiple injuries and concussions. In the center Hulboaca village (Chisinau mun.) a man was hit by a car after just getting off a bus. Although the victim fell, the driver did not stop to help him. He got his right arm broken and told the doctors and the police he was hit by a VAZ. He even remembered a part of the plate number so the offender is to be discovered soon by police. The safety belts have saved the lives of at least 3 people in a car which was hit by another car at the intersection of Pushkin and Alexandru cel Bun streets in Chisinau aty about 23 p.m. The last day and night, the Ambulance Service recorded 630 calls for assistance.
