3 officials unveil properties
The first three dignitaries have accepted to make public their income statements for 2008. The declarations are made several days before the launch of the campaign “Property in Sight” started by the Independent Press Association (IPA) and the Anti-Corruption Alliance, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to a communique by the IPA, they received the first scanned copy of the declaration from Parliament speaker Marian Lupu. In 2008, he and his family earned 234,817 lei from their jobs. Marian Lupu says he owns an apartment (since 2002) in Chisinau with an area of 136 sq. m. (assessed at 1,224 thousand lei) and a garage of 18.2 sq.m. (assessed at 70,000 lei).
The second dignitary was the mayor of Chisinau, Dorin Chirtoacă. He declares he earned 97,362.61 lei on his job. Dorin Chirtoaca owns 1/3 of a house in Colonita village in Chisinau municipality (70 sq.m. assessed at 167,000 lei) and an Opel Astra.
The third income statement came from mayor of Floresti, Iurie Tap, who says to have earned 79,576.32 lei on his job. He owns two apartments and a house of 93 sq.m. in Floresti town, assessed at 133,425 lei. He has an apartment in Chisinau (44 sq. m.) worth 221,981 lei.
