A 3 km long road section that connects the villages Ciumai and Burlaceni in southern Moldova, of the national road M3 Chisinau – Giurgiulesti, was closed at 3pm. Sergiu Capatana, head of the operational service of the State Road Administration, has told IPN that this is the road section between the 158th and 161st km.

The road workers continue to work, but the strong winds hamper them. The drivers are urged to avoid the given sector and to travel on the R38 Vulcanesti – Cahul –Taraclia (Balabanu – Cahul and Cahul – Vulcanesti) road.

Traffic near Troitskoe village of Anenii Noi district had been blocked for 25 minutes owing to a road accident. The units of transport involved in the accident were towed away and movement was restored.

No other situations of blockage on roads were reported. At 4pm, they travelled in winter conditions on all the national roads.
