3 citizens accused of cultivating cannabis
Three citizens from the village of Carnateni, Causeni district, have been arrested by the police which accuses them of cultivating narcotic plants. The police even found a small lab to process the cannabis while searching a house of one of them, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Head of the Anti-Drug Direction of the Interior Ministry Ilie Jecicov told a news conference on Tuesday that the plants were being cultivated on a plot of near the forest of the village, as the police discovered 768 plants of cannabis. The police found in the same village a man who hid 4 sacks and 2 bags of marihuana in the house of a neighbor.
Other 15 kg of marihuana were found in the attic of a house in Chisinau, as the police is establishing the provenience of the drugs.
1,747 infractions implying drugs have been unveiled in the first 9 months of this year. From the total number, some 45% are related to selling marihuana, 9% -- to cultivating cannabis, 28% fro cultivating lollypop, 4% for cultivating lollypop straws, 5% are related to heroin, etc.
