29 political parties are allowed to take part in the new local elections which will take place on November 11 in three localities in Moldova. For the election on June 3 only 27 were allowed. The Central Election Commission (CEC) approved a resolution to this effect on Tuesday, September 11. New elections will be held in Rezina district, in Corjova village (Dubasari district) and in Drasliceni village (Criuleni district). Along the 27 political parties allowed for the elections on June 3, another two will also be able to candidate: The “European Action” Movement Party and the Movement for Nation and Motherland, which recently registered with the Ministry of Justice. The district of Rezina will vote for a new Council, since the one elected on June 3 repeatedly failed to achieve quorum. Corjova will host the third attempt to elect the local public administration, since on the dates of June 3 and June 17 the enforcement bodies of the unconstitutional regime of Tiraspol impeded the electoral process. Drasliceni village will vote for a new mayor, as the one elected in June was killed.
