29 million lei will be invested to develop tourist infrastructure of the Old Orhei Cultural-Natural Reserve. The money will be invested in the restoration of historical monuments and the development of tourist infrastructure.
In particular, works will be carried out to consolidate the Medieval Bath, reconstruct a portion of the medieval fortification system, build a multifunctional conference hall, and consolidate the Butuceni promontory.
The contract has been assigned to the construction companies ProEx 2005 and Restaco, from Romania and Moldova, respectively.
“This is happening thanks to the effort of people who do everything they can, with a lot of dedication and love for the country”, declared Minister of Culture Sergiu Prodan. He urged other cultural institutions and associations to mobilize their ideas, form teams and access funds. “The Ministry of Culture, our development partners want a united, developed, cultured and hospitable Moldova, as it actually is, and open to the world”, the minister said.
