29 applicants for post of National Participation Council member

Twenty-nine persons have applied for the post of member of the National Participation Council within a public contest. Twenty-five members are to be chosen on the Council, but all the applicants could be yet accepted if these meet the requirements.

Ludmila Catan, senior consultant at the State Chancellery, has told IPN that the members of the assessment commission are to pronounce on applicants’ files.

Among the applicants are such known NGO members as Vitalie Mester, Sergey Neikovchen, Antonita Fonari, Vitalie Voznoi, Daniela Mamaliga, Natalia Hasan and Valentina Bodrug-Lungu as well as ex-minister of economy Valeriu Lazar.

With the election of the new members of the National Participation Council, the Government aims to strengthen the dialogue with civil society and to facilitate the involvement of NGOs in the process of formulating and implementing public policies.
