As many as 29 apartment buildings in Chisinau’s Ciocana district may not be connected to the centralized heating system the current season. The supplier blames the privatized dwelling owners association 54/219 for this as it refuses to sign the contract for the supply of heat, IPN reports.
In the November 18 meeting of heads of Chisinau municipal services and divisions, SA Termocom director general Mihail Cernei said the manager of the 29 buildings refuse to sign the contract proposed by the supplier and makes reference to another model of contract, dating from 1998, which has old provisions. Thus, even if the dwellers paid for the heat consumed the previous heating season, they risk remaining without heat in the absence of a contract.
