A number of 27 of the 45 political parties registered in Moldova didn’t submit financial management reports for the first quarter of 2016 to the Central Election Commission (CEC), IPN reports.
In a press release, the CEC says that the other 18 parties that presented the reports are: the Liberal Party, the Party “Homeland”, the Green Ecologist Party, the Party of Socialists, the Party “Ravnopravie” (“Equality”), the Party “Democracy at Home”, the Party of Communists, the Russian-Slavonic Party, the Democratic Action Party, the Democratic Party, the People’s Movement Party “Antimafie, the Liberal Democratic Party, the “Our Party”, the European People’s Party of Moldova, the Action and Solidarity Party, the Liberal Reformist Party, the Party “Platform Democracy and Truth”, and the People’s Party.
The CEC is to verify and analyze the presented financial reports. Under the legislation, the non-presentation of financial administration reports on time and in the format set by the Commission is punished with a fine of 6,000 to 10,000 lei.
