2.68% of the total number of voters voted in the municipality of Chisinau until 9.30 am, the data presented by the District Election Council of the municipality of Chisinau show. As usual, the most active voters are in the suburbs, where 5.1% voted until the reported hour. The most active suburban settlements are Vadul lui Voda and Ciorescu – about 10%. In Chisinau, the most active district is Botanica, where 2.6% of electors voted until 9.30, followed by Buiucani – 2.2% and in Rascani – 1.7%. At the local elections held on May 25, 2003, about 4.3% voted until 9.30, and the participation rate constituted 45%. On July 10, 2005, 1.7% of the total number of voters participated until the same hour, and about 27% participated in the polls. On November 28, 2005, about 1% came to the polling stations until the same hour. A minimum of 25% of voters must take part in elections to consider them valid.
