A man aged 26 from Telenești district succumbed to COVID-19. He suffered from comorbidities and was being treated at the Emergency Medicine Institute, IPN reports, quoting the Ministry of Health.

Sixteen deaths associated with COVID-19 were reported on January 21 in total. The death toll from the novel coronavirus now stands at 3,315.

As many as 670 new infections were confirmed today after doing 2,632 tests. Five of them were imported.

Of the over 2,000 patients with COVID-19 who are currently receiving treatment at hospitals, 228 are in a very serious state and 32 of them were put on a ventilator.
