26 MP candidates stepped aside temporarily
Twenty-six candidates for member of parliament temporarily stepped aside from their jobs for the duration of the parliamentary race, out of the 43 candidates required by the Election Code to do so, the Central Election Commission (CEC) said.
The persons whose jobs are incompatible with the status of candidate are the ministers, the heads of government agencies, the heads and deputy heads of districts, mayors and deputy mayors, city district heads and deputy heads.
Naming the parties whose members are required to step aside temporarily, the CEC failed to mention the Communists Party.
