There are nine stretches of roads currently under repair in Moldova, with an overall length of 241 kilometers, including 93 kilometers rehabilitated under the project implemented with the support of the Millennium Challenge Account. The total cost of the repair is 1.245 billion lei. The information was presented by Deputy Transport Minister Boris Gherasim at a joint meeting of the Road Sector Support Program's Supervisory Committee and relevant international financial institutions. All the ongoing repairs are supposed to be completed in 2013. The Government said in a press release that the representatives of the international financial institutions attending the meeting reiterated their willingness to further support Moldova's road and transport modernization efforts.
