2400 Transnistrian businessmen registered with the Public Services Agency

The number of Transnistrian business people registered with the Public Services Agency has increased by 77.7% in the last decade. The latest data, collected at the end of 2024, shows that there were 2406 businesses registered with the PSA, while in 2014 there were only 1354, IPN reports.

1976 companies were taken on provisional registration, another 430 were permanently registered. The upward trend reflects the commitment of the Chisinau authorities to regulate and monitor economic activities throughout Moldova, the authorities specify.

According to ASP, more and more entrepreneurs from the left bank of the Dniester are conducting business operations with the European Union and the right bank of the Republic of Moldova. In 2024, exports from the Transnistrian region to EU states reached a record 83%.

It is also noted that economic agents from the eastern districts and the municipality of Bender, registered with the ASP, continue to benefit from certificates of origin of goods, which are necessary for conducting international trade.

Last year, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Customs Service issued 6 061 certificates of origin to economic agents in the Transnistrian region. All these documents comply with World Trade Organization regulations and Moldovan legislation, the government statement said.

The authorities in Chisinau note that the upward trend in the official registration of Transnistrian businesses confirms the interest of economic agents from the left bank of the Dniester for a regulated business framework, which allows them to access foreign markets more easily.
