As many as 222 persons infected with COVID-19 are in a serious state and 18 of them were put on a ventilator, Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu informed on April 27.
A number of 30 cured persons were discharged from the hospital on April 26.
As of April 27, a number of the restrictive measures will be relaxed. Walks in the open air in groups not larger than three persons are permitted, as is retail trade. The minister encouraged the population to further keep the social distance of minimum 1 meter. The persons who do not feel well should stay at home.
The business entities that resume work should make sure that their employees are daily examined to determine their state of health and that the rooms are sanitized and aired and should provide the clients with single-use disposable gloves.
As many as 3480 infections with the novel coronavirus have been reported in the Republic of Moldova so far. Almost 900 of these recovered, while for 96 the infection was fatal.
