A man aged 21 from Cahul town was arrested by the police on suspicion that he killed a former schoolmate, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from the General Police Inspectorate, the crime was committed on May 4. The body of a young man was found in a deserted house in Cahul by locals, who informed the police. It was established that the 20-year-old man, who was from the same town, was stabbed to death with a knife.
When questioned by the police, the suspected accepted his blame, saying he took revenge on the victim for a conflict that they had at school. At the suspect’s home, the police found the victim’s mobile phone and the knife. In the outhouse, they discovered the suspect’s shirt with signs of blood on it.
The man faces up to 15 years in jail for deliberate murder.
