The ninth and twelfth graders will be taking pre-tests between April 1 and 12 within the preparations for the graduation exams, Deputy Minister of Education Igor Grosu said in a news conference, quoted by IPN.
According to Igor Grosu, the tests will be published on the website of the Quality Ensuring Agency (www.aee.edu.md) on the days of pre-tests, starting at 8.00. The grading models will be available at 14.00. Tests will be taken in four subjects: language of study, foreign language, the subject of one’s choice, and the specialization subject. The students of schools for other language speakers will also take a test in the Romanian language and literature.
As to the BAC session, the deputy minister said there will be opened 100 examination centers where there will be installed about 1,200 video cameras as well as jamming equipment. Thirty of these centers are in Chisinau.
Anatol Tapala, director of the Quality Ensuring Agency, said that meetings with teachers, parents and students will be organized starting with this month in all the country’s regions. They will be familiarized with the risks associated with copying and corruption. “The children should concentrate their attention on preparation. The graduation exams are free of charge. The students will come only with the identity card and the pen,” he said.
A sum of 5 million lei will be allocated for the 2013 Baccalaureate session. The members of the supervision commission will be paid 25 lei an hour. Almost 29,000 candidates will take Baccalaureate exams in the 2013 session.
