200 pulse oximeters donated to General Social Assistance and Health Division

The General Social Assistance and Health Division received 200 pulse oximeters donated by a business entity. The medical devices will be used to assess the state of health of elderly people and persons with disabilities who benefit from social home care services, the Division’s head Tatiana Bucharski stated in the ordinary meeting of officials of municipal services, being quoted by IPN.

According to the functionary, the social workers were trained to use the devices and will use the pulse oximeters to indirectly monitor the oxygen saturation of persons’ blood during visits to their homes.

Such a medical device will be used within the social services for the first time.
