Twenty persons were evacuated from an apartment building situated on Sucevița St in Buiucani district of Chisinau in the morning of May 13 after the things stored at a balcony started to burn. No one was hurt.

General Inspectorate for Emergencies press officer Liliana Pușcașu has told IPN that the balcony is located on the fifth floor. The 20 persons were evacuated from the upper floors of the building so as to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning.

Three teams of rescuers and firefighters were dispatched to the scene. The fire was liquidated in less than half an hour.
