2 killed, 20 injured in Ungheni traffic accident
Two people were killed and twenty others were injured in a traffic accident that occurred on Friday night near Pirlita village, Ungheni district, when a passenger minibus collided with a truck.
Traffic Police inspector Dorin Capcelea told Info-Prim Neo that the accident happened after a Kamaz truck went the wrong way and struck a minibus traveling on route the Chisinau-Ungheni.
As a result of the collision, the Kamaz's driver died instantly as the driver and passengers on the minibus were rushed to the district hospital.
One hour after admission, the second driver died in the intensive care unit. Other 8 passengers were also hospitalized. Their condition is serious, but stable, Info-Prim Neo learned from the hospital's director, Lidia Craciun.
According to the Traffic Police, on Friday and on the following night 18 traffic accidents were recorded across Moldova, with 5 people dead and 34 injured.
