About 19,000 chickens died at a firm in the municipality of Comrat following the strong winds and heavy rainfall of July 3, IPN reports, with reference to Gagauzinfo. The high winds took away the roof and the water flooded the rooms of the farm. The company’s administration is to present the damage assessments to the emergencies commission.
The incurred losses amount to about 100,000 lei if only the cost price of the chickens is taken into account. The company’s failed incomes exceed yet 600,000 lei.

The rain destroyed about 15 km of roads and the roofs of dozens of houses and buildings of public institutions and commercial organizations. The downed trees and broken tree branches damaged electrical and telecommunications cables.
