A soldier aged 19, who was wounded from a gun that, according to mates, was discharged accidentally died while operated. The incident happened at a military unit in Balti. Anatolie Scortescu, head of the Balti Municipal Hospital’s Emergency Department, has told IPN that the young man had a bullet wound in the inguinal area and died on the operating table because of hemorrhage.  

The doctor said the man was brought to the hospital by a group of servicemen at about 11pm on July 12. He was in a serious condition as he lost a large quantity of blood and didn’t have many chances of survival.

The soldier was from Dusmani, Glodeni. The Ministry of Defense hasn’t yet commented on the case.
