180 Moldovan students to rest in summer camps in Romania

As many as 180 school students with good academic standing will be able to rest in Romanian summer camps. There were provided 200 free tickets to camps, but 20 of them are intended for group managers. 80 tickets are for the camp situated in Sulina of Tulcea county, while 120 for Poiana Pinului of Buzau county.

“The children will be selected according to a number of criteria that are stipulated in the letters of recommendations of the donors. The students who won district, municipal and national contests and Olympiads and with good academic standing will be given priority,” Daniela Cotovitskaya, senior consultant at the Education Ministry’s General Education Reforms and Management, has told IPN.

The first group of students will leave on July 8. “The students are from different districts,” said Danielei Cotovitskaya. The next group will leave on July 14, while the last in August.

The tickets were provided by the Embassy of Romania in Moldova and the Department for Romanians Everywhere of the Romanian Government. The Ministry of Education of Moldova offered 100 free tickets to Moldovan summer camps for Romanian school students.
