The prices of 160 medicines will be reduced by 40%. Such a decision was taken in a meeting of Prime Minister Pavel Filip and representatives of Moldovan pharmaceutical companies, IPN reports.
“At the first stage, we spoke about a list of about 160 names of drugs. These are practically the most important and used drugs, which will be cheapened by 40% from October 12,” Pavel Filip stated after the meeting.
The representatives of pharmaceutical companies said the reduction in prices will enable the people to buy medicines at reasonable prices and this will be a support for the socially deprived families.
The dialogue between the Government and pharmaceutical companies included also the implementation of the companies’ proposal to de-bureaucratize the pharmaceutical sector and the recent measured related to the drugs market approved by the Cabinet.
