A girl aged 16 months was admitted to the intensive care unit of V. Ignatenco Hospital in a coma in what doctors believe to be a case of domestic violence. The mother, however, claims the girl slipped off the couch. Doctors have notified the police. Dr. Elena Sauga, the hospital's vice director, has told Info-Prim Neo that the girl was hospitalized in a very serious condition, having suffered a head trauma, in addition to bruises on her arms, legs and back, both newer and older. The girl's condition is improving, according to dr. Sauga. She recently came out of the coma and is soon to be transferred to the neorosurgery department.
