The Program of Actions dedicated to the national holiday Republic’s Day, ex Independence Day, will start on August 27 in the morning, with a peal of bells in the Metropolitan Cathedral “Nasterea Domnului, and in all churches of the Republic of Moldova. According to the program, the Government organizes at 9.00 commemorations at the monument of the Stefan cel Mare ruler; afterwards the leadership of the country will inaugurate the renewed Pan Halipa Street and the territory next to those three cemeteries. Also commemoration actions will take place at the monuments of the heroes who died for the independence and integrity of Moldova. The inauguration festivity dedicated to the 15th Independence and Sovereignty anniversary of the Republic of Moldova will take place in the Great National Assemble Square at 10:00 o’clock. At the same hour, on Independentei Street from Botanica district cultural-artistic events “A song for the country” will begin. Between 11:00 and 19:00, in the Public Park “Stefan cel Mare” different orchestras from the country will take part in the musical program “Fanfares sing”. Starting 11:30, the artistic groups “Stefan Voda”, “Vantulet”, “Vatra horelor” and others will present a national customs and dance program entitled “I am proud to be Moldovan” in the Great National Assembly Square. At 15:30, in the same location the entertainment performance “Rainbow of Friendship” with the participation of different ethnic groups will take place, followed by the artistic program “Caravel of culture”, the song program “My heart is Moldova” the musical-choreographic performance “Where Moldovans Dance”, with the participation of the Song and Dance Ensemble “Joc”, the musical-choreographic composition “Vivat-Moldova” and the congratulation message of the president of the Republic of Moldova, Vladimir Voronin. After the fireworks at 21:00, on the stage from the center of Chisinau “Zdob si Zdup” band will sing. This year’s edition of the Independence Day celebration is almost on whole organized by the Government and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
