About 500,000 textbooks will be printed this year. This is almost twice less than last year. “It is planned to print fewer textbooks as the use term of the books published earlier hasn’t expired. There are enough textbooks for all the subjects,” director of the Special Textbooks Fund Gheorghe Garnet has told IPN.

The stock of textbooks will be renews at a cost of 14.9 million lei.

The use term for textbooks in primary education is four years, while in secondary and lyceum education – five years.
