Police held a 20-year-old man on charges of attempting to put into circulation $15,000 in fake bills, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to police, the young man, coming from Caracusenii Vechi village in Briceni district, was arrested at the moment when he was trying to exchange the fake dollars for a sum of $4,500 in real bills. The suspect is said to have confessed that he got the bills from a 48-year-old man coming from the same village but who currently lives in Ialoveni. Following searches at the address, the police discovered a color printer. The supposed counterfeiter is now declared fugitive. If found guilty, the young man could serve from 7 to 15 years in prison.
