1/5 of Moldovan cars tested

1/5 of the cars registered in Moldova have been tested this year, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the Transport and Roads Ministry. Out of 550,000 vehicles, only 107,000 have been checked up. Officials from the Ministry think their number will go up during summer, as people are going to vacations and have to cross the border with all documents in good order. The president of the Motor Transports International Association from Moldova, Vladimir Florea, assesses the number of tested cars will reach 300,000, as he stresses that more testing stations are needed. There are 33 testing stations in Moldova, 9 of them in Chisinau municipality. Their number of expected to rise till the year-end up to 42. They work from 7.30 to 19.00, as the charge for their services is from 30 to 200 lei. One station can service up to 250 cars daily.
