Some 45,000 taxpayers in Chisinau, or 15% of the total failed to pay the property tax till the deadline on August 15. The amount due is 18 million lei, as the collected amount is 55 million lei.

With the deadline expired, every day of delay is costing the non-compliant taxpayers 0.07% of the amount due in fines. A total of 3 million lei has accrued in fines so far.

The second deadline is October 15. The property tax can be paid by presenting the notification sent out by the fiscal authorities at any postal office or bank, or online at https://mpay.gov.md/.
