On April 18, one day before Easter, customs officers found 1 570 660 undeclared euros in a truck at the Leușeni customs post. The border police said this was one of the largest finds at a frontier post so far. Several days later, the police discovered another €50,000 in the captured truck.

The 36-year-old driver of the vehicle was arrested.
