15 children left without parental care, who will start attending school as first graders, have received backpacks and supplies from the Municipal Directorate for Children Rights Protection, as well as other gifts from sponsors. During an event organized at the City Hall, the children recited poems and sang songs, IPN reports.
According to Lucia Caciuc, interim head of the Municipal Directorate for Children Rights Protection, backpacks have been filled with school supplies, books, sweets, but also with clay bells as a symbol of the first school bell sound.
After the event, the children were taken out to a cafe.
Maria Ceban is a professional parenting assistant for two children, one of which will start attending school this year, while the other is in kindergarten. The woman says it's helpful because "a first-grade child needs a lot of things now." The woman has been a professional parental assistant for almost 10 years.
Snejana Anati also educates two children, one of them will start attending school this year. "I have not seen what is in the backpacks, but I am sure that authorities achieved good results at school and know the needs of a first-grader. The help is welcomed in any family, regardless of its status and financial means,” Snejana Anati said.
The event is organized by the Municipal Directorate for Children Rights Protection on yearly basis.
