14 hectares of vineyard returned to Cricova wine business
The state will give back 14 hectares of vineyard to the wine company Cricova. The land was taken away following legislative amendments adopted in 2008, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a bill approved by the Government.
The 14 hectares of vineyard were to be exchanged for a plot of a similar size owned the local public administration of Cricova for building a customs terminal on it. But the given plot is being disputed and was confiscated.
Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Vasile Bumacov, who presented the bill, questioned the rationality of the exchange even if that land hadn't been disputed. He explained that the company will have to spend about 150,000 lei per hectare to plant new vine.
