13th round of negotiations on Association Agreement has been 'constructive'

The 13th plenary round of Moldova's negotiations on the Association Agreement with the EU, which took place on Friday in Brussels, unfolded in a constructive manner, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration said in a press release. The parties reached an understanding on some provisions of the future Agreement. The round was dedicated to negotiating the Agreement's preamble, general objectives and principles, the institutional, general and final provisions. An important chapter of the negotiations was the justice sector. Negotiations also focused on freedoms and security issues, and on economic, sectoral and financial cooperation. Further, the parties discussed the results of the latest round of negotiations on the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA), which took place on November 20-22. It has been agreed that the next round of negotiations on the Association Agreement and the DCFTA will take place in Chisinau, starting 21 January 2013.
