As many as 139 polling stations will be established for the November 1 presidential elections for the citizens of the Republic of Moldova who are overseas, as the Central Election Commission (CEC) decided on September 26, IPN reports.
Thirty-one of the polling stations will be in Italy, 17 - in Russia, 13 - in Romania, etc.
The draft decision on the establishment of polling stations abroad was adopted by the votes of eight members of the CEC. One member abstained.
Forty-two polling stations will be established for the voters from the Transnistrian region, Bender town and some of the localities of Căușeni district. The decision was adopted by seven votes in favor, with one abstention and one vote against.
In the last parliamentary elections, of February 24, 2019, 125 polling stations were established overseas and 47 for the voters from the Transnistrian region.
