Moldova will get a loan of €13.5 million from the World Bank for managing animal byproducts. Parliament ratified the additional financing agreement to the Moldova Agriculture Competitiveness Project in its November 20 sitting, IPN reports.
The loan will be used mainly to build a modern complex for managing animal byproducts that are not intended for human consumption. The additional financing will be allocated also for creating a comprehensive system for managing animal byproducts.
A series of activities to support agriculture and food security that were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic will be implemented as part of the project, including by offering compensations for supporting sales.
The time limit for implementing the additional financing agreement to the Moldova Agriculture Competitiveness Project is December 31, 2024.
