A number of 133 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Moldova on April 29, of 801 samples tested. After the meeting of the Single Command Center that manages the COVID-19 pandemic, Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu said the 133 infections are all local transmission cases. Most of them were recorded in Chisinau, Cahul and the Transnistrian region, IPN reports.

The total number of infections with COVID-19 now stands at 3,771. Of these, 2,548 are active cases.

The death toll from the novel coronavirus reached 109. A 23-year-old woman from Bălți, who was buried today, is the youngest victim by now. The Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection today informed about the death associated with COVID-19 of a man aged 82 from Chisinau and of a 79-year-old woman from Ocnița. A man aged 50 died in the Transnistrian region. This case hasn’t been yet included in official statistics.
