13-year-old girl suffers serious poisoning

A student of the Chisinau-based high school “Anton P. Cehov” was rushed to the hospital after she got poisoned with an unidentified substance, Chisinau Ambulance Service coordinating doctor Maria Shamatailo has told Info-Prim Neo. During classes, the 13-year-old girl complained she felt dizzy. The doctors presume she smoked something or took pills, possibly narcotics. Another girl aged 14, studying at the Chisinau high school “Petru Zadnipru”, was hospitalized after she had been beaten by a female classmate in the hall. The other girl punched her on the face and then pushed her down the stairs. Eyewitnesses said the girl lost consciousness, but recovered before the ambulance arrived. She was admitted to the Mother and Child Center. A man fell from a height of 4-5 meters at his villa and suffered a cranial-cerebral trauma, a concussion and injury to the occipital region. She was taken to the Emergency Hospital. Yesterdays and last night, the Chisinau ambulance teams dealt with 711 emergencies, including 69 cases of acute viral infection, 61 cases of trauma, seven strokes and 21 deliveries.
