14 municipal councilors supported the idea to dissolve Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC), voting for inclusion of this item in the agenda of CMC Thursday meeting, June 15. The proposal to dissolve CMC was formulated by the municipal councilor on behalf of the Movement „Ravnopravie”, by Valeri Climenco. According to him, CMC has to be dissolved because „it adopts many decisions” subsequently abrogated by courts. In the councilor’s opinion, the Communist faction is guilty for this situation. Climenco launched this proposal while discussing the re-establishment of the position of the ex-deputy mayor Mihai Furtuna. In his opinion, his case is, together with the others, an arguement in favor of his request to dissolve CMC. Representatives of AMN faction, a member of the social-democrat faction and several independent councilors voted for including CMC dissolving in the agenda. The proposal did not gather the necessary votes.
