Works to stop up the access roads will be carried out in the yards of a number of Chisinau apartment buildings. Ecological slabs will be built into sidewalks and the decoration elements inside yards will be restored. Deputy head of the municipal road maintenance company “Exdrupo” Vasile Panico has told IPN that there will be also set up playgrounds.

A sum of 12 million lei was allocated from the municipal budget for the purpose. This is a record sum for the last few years. However, the money is insufficient, given the high number of yards selected by the district head’s offices for renovation.

About 120 million lei is needed for repairing all the sidewalks and access roads in the yards of the apartment buildings of Chisinau. The assessment was carried out by the housing sector managing companies from four districts of Chisinau, except Ciocana district, where there are no such companies.
