A 12-year-old girl was found dead in an wooded area along the Bic River in Chisinau. Adrian Jovmir, spokesman for the Chisinau Police Commissariat, told Info-Prim Neo the girl had been dwelling in a sewer canal on Calea Mosilor Street for some time after running away from her Drochia home. The body was found by another girl, 16, with whom the victim shared the makeshift dwelling. Preliminary investigation showed the girl didn't die a violent death. It was reported that the victim had suffered from bad toothaches and consequent malnutrition, which the police have counted as a possible cause of the death.
