118 years passed since the death of Romanian poetry’s Star

118 years are marked since the Star of the Romanian poetry Mihai Eminescu went away on June 15. In order to commemorate one of the greatest poets of the XIX century, a series of events were organised in Moldova and Romania, Info-Prim Neo reports. In the morning, flowers were traditionally laid by the authorities of the state at the monument of Mihai Eminescu located in the square of the Organ Hall. At 10.00, in the alley of the Romanian poets, near the monument of the great poet, the Union of Writers organises a commemorative action which will be attended by writers, students, and anyone who knows and loves the works of the poet. Also on Friday, in the town were he was born, Botosani, there will be announced the results of the first edition of the “Luceafarul” National Festival dedicated to Mihai Eminescu and his creation. During three days, tens of actors from both banks of Prut River have recited his works.
